![]() Meditating on Mayan energies this morning gave me a view of the need within Western cultures to honour native ways and wisdom keepers at this TIME. There are some sacred events happening that are being activated through native tribes of the earth and it seems to be attracting a strong cultural Western spin. In my observations of living here in Aotearoa (commonly known as New Zealand), there has been deep pain and trauma that is healing. My bloodline is European and my parents both immigrated here, so I am first generation born and have never been to Europe where my parents come from. Growing up, the disharmony and imbalance of cultural conflicts has been with us all. Having a strong connection with nature and feeling nature as my most trustworthy source of support, as a child, I naturally have aligned with others, like me. My Māori soul family have embraced me and we cherish our connections. I have gained a greater inner-standing as we have shared our hearts and truths and come to know what it may be like to walk in the shoes of one another. There are qualities that are in those of native cultures from all around the earth as I now perceive it, that are supportive of the ways of unity, balance and harmony. A close connection with the earth, nature and sky is more fresh on the DNA, from a shared closeness with nature. There are qualities such as meekness, humility and groundedness in the native wisdom keepers that I know. A very sacred ceremony is planned at the sacred rock in Australia later this year and I have been more keen to hear from the people of the land, than what is being portrayed in a Westernised fashion. I see a huge contrast in the energies of the two and as a European, non-native to this land (apart from being born here), I KNOW in my heart that I am here to learn and grow within the environments I am placed in. I observe the most pure ways of the native people of my land as being non-hierarchical, based upon strong family values, the sharing of natures bounty, the sharing of healing, teaching and all that is naturally human to do. As the people here suffered the brutality of colonisation and being removed from their lands, there has been a lot of healing to do. The effects of colonisation are being healed around the entire globe of our Mother Earth's body. Through the great love and strength of heart, the sacred wisdom keepers have kept all safe and alive. So much for-give-ness has remained. As a Westerner I have needed to learn gentleness and to soften from harsh mind sets of competitiveness and greed. I have had to surrender my needs 'to be someone special', or to excel in life beyond others. We are all here with our Mother Earth, to learn and grow, teach and share and ultimately find our way back to harmony, unity and balance. I still feel the pressure of the Western mind opposing this, so this is why I am writing it down to share today. I also see strong Western mind-sets swooping in. It feels to me like they are taking precedence over the sacred ceremonial ways of the indigenous wisdom keepers who have kept knowledge safe, until it has been time to reveal it. I really hope that we who have grown up and been socially conditioned by Western mind-sets can prepare ourselves for the time when that is needed too. Many indigenous people have also fallen into this trap of social conditioning or engineering too, so we all have our work to do to heal and truly come into unity. It's a togetherness task. We have all been highly programmed in many ways over time. Globalism hasn't embraced that we may have unity in diversity, or by each one of us being our authentic selves. To be the change, we may need to deconstruct anything that limits our freedoms together, as one. What doesn't sit well with me, is the way that sacred events may potentially be usurped by Western mind sets. They seem to get glamorised and while it can reach the masses that way, it also seems to take away our personal response-ability. Just as 2012 delivered all kinds of promises and was made to look like a Mayan event, when it was not, it seems that this may be happening again. This causes people to look outside themselves and towards a saving date, moment or event, rather than doing the personal work in preparation to support what is really going on. The Australian original people have indicated that there needs to be a certain number of people with a high enough vibration to support their sacred ceremony, and whoever is meant to be at the ceremony will be there. As I perceive it, Western civilisation has enculturated us to make things happen rather than to allow things to happen in keeping with divine will. This ceremony is for all of creation. Adding Western embellishments to it, and claims that may not be true only creates chaos and confusion. I feel it is vital that, we could become more like our indigenous wisdom keepers and remain humble, small, meek and of service. The work that really needs to be done in preparation for this event, is to raise our frequency through a focus on unity, heart guidance, clean living, caring for our inner physical environments and our outer physical environments. Stay grounded. Be human. Keep growing and allow the will of the creator to place us exactly where we serve creation best, at all times. I feel for the Maya who have had their sacred knowledge distorted and paraded in ways that are not their own. I hope I do not do that as I share my perceptions of the energy of the sacred calendar. I try to own my perceptions in how I relate with my remembrance of ancient Mayan connections, so it may appear different. I seek to be as diligent as I can to express what is picked up in my heart meditations with the Earth. I have no claim to being an expert in the field. My heart is for the transition that we are going through at this epic time. I feel a disrespect towards the Australian original people who hold their sacred knowledge for this time and are possibly being misrepresented in how it is being foretold by others not of their culture. With the Māori people of my land, sacred knowledge is often only given to non-Māori who are trustworthy with that knowledge. To me, sacred knowledge is disrespected when it is glamorized or used as a basis for hype and the original purpose of the sharing is swallowed up in superficial overlays of westernised mind constructs. The ways of our great mother are earthy, harmonious, and without fan fare. She would never set us up to fall. Those who are pure enough to hold sacred knowledge on her behalf and our creators behalf, work with balance and harmony, from the heart. I feel that it is time for us to sort everything out with all our relations. Accept one another. Allow one another to have their beliefs. We develop spirituality by having beliefs and it is a human condition. We can then become self aware of whether our beliefs serve ourselves and creation, or not. They have a valid place in our growth. Harm doesn't come so much from beliefs as the imposition of our beliefs on others. None of us are experts on any one else's lives. We can reflect to others and life will do that. It will present the life events that are necessary for our personal growth. I see great strength and heart in remaining small, humble and meek. Let's sit more quietly and respectfully and be prepared to learn and harmonize ourselves with sacred wisdom keepers. Unity means no longer violating the pure hearted people who came here to humbly and meekly be the change. The ways are gentle and I feel we must all have care not to stomp on them. We are all 100% valuable. Our mistakes are our teachers too. I know I have made many mistakes in life. I am grateful for the grace of those who have stayed with me as I do. In lak'ech (I am another you). May we keep growing together and know unity, live it and be the change, so it is.
